Smitten crafts ultra-smooth, churned-to-order ice cream using only fresh, locally sourced ingredients and devoid of stabilizers, gums and artificial flavors.
With nine locations in the San Francisco Bay area and Los Angeles, Smitten, started by Founder Robyn Sue Fisher in 2007 shortly after she earned an MBA from Stanford School of Business, has grown exponentially from the little wooden wagon she pulled through the streets of San Francisco to sell her exceptionally creamy, fresh, churned-to-order ice cream.
How was it possible to sell ice cream from a wagon? Fisher had teamed up with an aerospace engineer to develop a proprietary contraption, called the Brrr®, that applies a flash-frozen liquid nitrogen technique to a fresh liquid base and transforms it into ice cream in about 90 seconds. It’s the freshest, creamiest, purest ice cream you’ll ever taste.
