  • What a whirlwind week it’s been, participating in ecosystem events on both coasts! Some highlights: 1) GBC Founder/CEO Linnea Roberts took to the stage with Pivotal Ventures’ Erin Harkless Moore and moderator Damali Bond at PJT Partners’ 3rd Annual Women’s Forum, in NYC on 11/19. 2) A week earlier, on 11/14 at the annual @allraiseorg All Stars Summit in Half Moon Bay, CA, Linnea joined a diverse panel of leading VC investors to discuss strategies for investing in emerging funders & founders. 3) GBC Partner Ita Ekpoudom, one of the co-lead organizers of the All Raise Summit, led a conversation about success on and off the field with 2X World Cup winner & Olympic Gold Medalist soccer legend Alex Morgan. 4) GBC’s investment team caught up with Ingeborg Capital’s Anna Mason (2nd from left) & Founder/CEO Olivia Walton (2nd from right) on day two of the All Raise Summit. GBC was proud to be among the sponsors of the Summit. 5) Katherine Rice met up with First Partner of California Jennifer Siebel Newsom at The Representation Project’s 8th Annual “Flip the Script” Gala on 11/15 in San Francisco. The Gala celebrated activists in media, entertainment and academia who are leaders in the gender justice movement. Newsom, an award-winning documentary filmmaker (“Miss Representation,” “The Mask You Live In” and others), founded @therepresentationproject to address harmful gender stereotypes in the media and in our society. Her latest film, “Miss Representation: The Revolution” will be released in 2025. GingerBread Capital is proud to have been among the sponsors of the event. 6) Katherine also joined First Partner Newsom in Sacramento, CA for the 2nd Annual Gender Equity Summit on 11/20. Joining Katherine was Felicity Jost, co-founder/CEO of GBC portfolio co. @asktia .   • It’s been a great week spending time with some of our favorite people in the VC ecosystem! In the Bay Area, GBC Founder Linnea Roberts met up with @paigehbuckner of @allraiseorg, in anticipation of the All Raise Summit, to be held Nov. 12-14 in Half Moon Bay, CA. During the event Linnea will join Ingeborg Investments’ Olivia Walton for a panel discussion on women investing in women. In New York, GBC Partner Ita Ekpoudom met up with @deenashakir of @_luxcapital at the launch of her new children’s book, “Leena Mo, CEO” that inspires young girls to “think big” and follow their dreams. Ita later celebrated Deena’s book launch at an intimate luncheon where she met up with @chelseaclinton, founder of Metrodora Ventures, in which GBC is an LP. Back on the west coast, GBC Partner Katherine Rice attended Ulu Ventures’ AGM at the stately Kohl Mansion in Burlingame, CA. (GBC is also a Limited Partner in Ulu, co-founded by Miriam Rivera.) An unseasonable heat wave didn’t put a damper on this fresh gathering of leading VCs and founders where Katherine met up with Erin Harkless Moore and Brittney Riley Gavini of @pivotal_ventures . And wrapping up the week, GingerBread Capital was a proud sponsor of the inaugural gala of @girlswhoinvest, a nonprofit that promotes and supports career paths in finance for young women. Ita brought together a great group of women for the event, which was held at the Ziegfeld Ballroom in NYC.
