GingerBread Founder & CEO Linnea Roberts recently sat down with theSkimm co-founders Carly Zakin and Danielle Weisberg to talk about her career success on Wall Street, the downsides of perfectionism, and the light bulb moment that led her to start a venture fund focused on women founders and entrepreneurs.
“To be an entrepreneur, you have to have that internal fire that will drive you to take that risk,” Linnea noted. “And I think we’re raising better risk takers now than in my generation. We were the ‘good girls.’ Now, young women are busting out of that mold. Millennials are very passionate. They care about their community, about giving back to others, and about not waiting before starting businesses that make a real impact.”
