The company was launched in 2017 by founder & CEO Kathryn Duryea, a Stanford MBA with a background in e-commerce and brand marketing, including at Tiffany & Co. (she also holds a bachelor’s from Georgetown’s School of Foreign Service and early in her career served a stint in the White House).
