GingerBread Capital and BBG Ventures co-hosted a Women Investing in Women event at the flagship store of Diane von Furstenberg on April 3 in New York. The legendary designer herself joined our gathering of over 100 inspiring women to share her wisdom and commitment to supporting other women. The evening also featured a pitch session and a lively panel discussion (led by GBC’s Linnea Roberts) with three women founders whose businesses are going gangbusters: Jean Brownhill of Sweeten, Tina Sharkey of Brandless, and Shan-Lyn Ma of Zola.

On March 10 at SXSW in Austin, Tex., we teamed up with R/GA Ventures to co-host a special gathering over brunch of women founders and women in VC. Among the attendees were Falon Fatemi of Node, Tracy Lawrence of Chewse and Amy Millman, co-founder and executive director of SpringBoard Enterprises.
